The Primary School within the Convitto Nazionale caters for children from six to eleven years. The school, which is non-residential, offers a rich educational programme of curricula and extra-curricula activities providing the children an easy transition to Junior High School. The educational programme is pupil-centred and aims to offer the children solid educational bases in a warm, caring learning environment.
The timetable, from Monday to Friday, is organised in 6 lessons per day from 8.00 to 13.15. In the afternoon the children have a wide range of sports and cultural activities under the supervision of the School tutors (15.15 – 17.15).
Lunch is provided in the school’s dining room.
The extra curricula activities include the following:
- Classical Ballet lessons, at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza (National Dance Academy)
- English language courses leading to the Cambridge Certificates: Starters, Movers, Flyers
- Drama laboratory.
